The Sun has come out in Honduras

Finally, today we have sunny weather this afternoon.

In the morning, I worked with the Hondurans. We were a little concerned yesterday that they did not want us around, but after this morning, I conclude that was a miscommunication. I spent all morning with Juan y Juan, two brother who are the foreman. I met the other workers, Melvin, Herman, Tony the Italiano ( I tease him) and Nektar. I explained that Nektar sounds like nectar as in fruit. The other guys teased him to no end, and I fear I have done the Honduran equivalent of Johnny Cash{s a boy named Sue.

We assembled the forms for the support beams, and this afternoon we{ll be mixing cement. Oh boy!

We went out to lunch today. A local restaurant was secured for our group. It was a great meal. Afterwards, Emily and I ran into Junis mother. We learned that Juni is on a vacation in San Pedro Sula with her sister and her Aunt. She"ll start 5th grade in two weeks.

More to come.
