A Controversial Pastor

OK. Now that the election is over. Let's take a deeper look at this controversial Pastor. Rev. Jeremiah Wright. He was made famous as the former Pastor of the church where Barack Obama was a member.

I highly recommend this profile and interview done by Bill Moyers.

You may be surprised to know that his main influence in Seminary was Martin Marty, who is probably the most distinguished Lutheran Historian of Religion alive today. I first heard of Jeremiah Wright while studying at Fuller Theological Seminary. His book about the work of his church, how they reached out to the community, connected with the poor and began a renewal of worship was highly influential for me. So, does that mean, his remarks about Sept 11, should be held against him, or me?
