Oliver Stone is in Manhattan filming the sequel to Wall Street. His 1987 film was a powerful, but often misunderstood film about greed and the worship of money. Hmmm, I think someone 2,000 years ago had something to say about this subject.
The new film follows a similar indictment of the Financial aspects of the current "Great recession"
Gotta love Oliver Stone, he's a former 60's radical that keeps his tales of the powerful going strong. Granted sometimes he goes a bit too far, but a little hyperbole never hurt anyone.
The film is scheduled for Spring release, and stars Michael Douglas as the ever quotable "greed is good" Gordon Gecko, named after a lizard intentionally.
