OK, this is about as non-political an explanation of the current financial crisis as I could find. A bunch of people are critical of this guy, but at least you can watch this interview and get a handle on what's going on. Warren Buffet, the richest man in the world, explains what's going on with our financial system in a way that most of the rest of us can understand. The interview is long, but really worth listening to him.
